Evaluation
Phare works with leaders to create an evaluation plan that fits their needs and stage of development. We have worked with nonprofits to build internal evaluation capacity, and conducted unbiased, informative, and supportive external evaluations of how a program is performing.
For example, Phare conducted an external evaluation of an academic resilience program at a top midwestern university, highlighting the strengths and successes of the program and providing ideas on how to build upon those assets. Our final report enabled them to secure additional funding to complete those additions and spread their impact to more students.Contact Us →
Consulting & customized training
Phare consults with educational leaders on how they might adapt their existing initiatives to infuse more academic motivation and executive functioning into them, or on how they might embed effective assessment of these qualities into their programs.
Educators always need to adapt curriculum and activities to fit their contexts and needs, and Phare supports that adaptation.For example, we modified our semester-long high school course, Catalyst, into a mini-SEL summer curriculum for freshmen and seniors at a high school in North Carolina. We have also created custom professional development about motivation and executive functioning for educators, and provided individualized coaching for educators on implementation.Contact Us →
